Recovery Fair to Highlight Options for Those Dealing with Addiction

The STAND Coalition/Opiate Task Force will hold a Recovery Fair on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Pittman Community Recovery Center, 827 North Main Street (former North Main Street School). The goal is to increase awareness about the importance of supports in the recovery process and to highlight the role of faith based recovery.

In addition to information about available resources, attendees will also get to hear the experiences of two individuals who are in recovery.

Those who arrive early will have an opportunity to tour the Pittman Recovery Center. Described as a work in progress, the eventual goal for the center is to provide treatment, give opportunities for support, and offer recovery housing.

The meeting will conclude with a drawing for a $50 Applebee’s gift card and a $25 gas card with proceeds to support the Family Dependency Treatment Court’s incentive program. Tickets will be $1 for one; 3 for $2 or 9 for $5.
