The Palace Theatre Big Band, featuring vocalists Johnny Steiner and Ann Schertzer, will be the entertainment at the Concert in the Park on Sunday, June 15, 2014. This group of local musicians, under the leadership of George Schram, will play a variety of Big Band and dance music.
The free, weekly concerts are held in McKinley Park, next to Marion General Hospital, and begin at 7:00 p.m.
Organizers encourage you to bring a chair and maybe a snack to enjoy while you listen to the live music. The band always welcomes those who may want to show off their dancing skills with your favorite partner.
The concerts are free, but organizers are always willing to accept donations to help defray costs of production, sound and guess musicians.
