Four Ohio organizations were recently recognized by Alber Enterprise Center (AEC) at The Ohio State University at Marion’s Guthery Community Room for their remarkable achievement in business.

The organization’s annual award ceremony was held to showcase the success of local businesses and organizations. Certificates were presented to: Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance, National Lime & Stone Company, Triumph Thermal Systems, LLC, and Anderson International Corporation.

AEC formed partnerships with these organizations to enhance their strengths and alleviate complex issues within their organizations.

Director of Economic Development for the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance (HCCBA), Kenton, OH, John Hohn accepted the Outstanding Achievement and Excellence Award for Collaboration and Leveraging of Resources.  Whether it is economic development, community development, linking education with business, or other actions, Hohn and the HCCBA continuously seek ways to collaborate with AEC and therefore leverage resources to help Hardin County thrive and expand.

Director of Labor Relations and Resource Services for National Lime & Stone, Findlay, OH, Raymond Ball accepted the Outstanding Achievement and Excellence Award for Continual Commitment to Human Capital Investment. For over a decade, National has trained personnel through classroom, hands-on, or eLearning instruction on topics such as: customer service, hydraulics, welding, Microsoft office software, issue analysis, and electrical safety.  This company budgets 10 percent of its revenue annually on employee training, solidifying exponential business growth over the years at its 40 locations throughout Ohio.

Director of Human Resources for Triumph Thermal Systems, LLC, Forest, OH, Kenneth M. Jackson accepted Outstanding Achievement and Excellence Award for Investment in Learning Resulting in Positive Impact on Business. In a period of nearly fifteen years, Triumph enhanced its employees’ critical job skills through structured on-the-job training (SOJT).

The awards luncheon was the concluding event of AEC’s Client Advisory Council half-day meeting. The meeting objective was for clients to provide feedback on AEC’s past services, input on how AEC can support the center’s business priorities, listen to the voice of their customers, and ideas for strategic direction.

The Alber Enterprise Center says their staff enables organizations to build internal strengths and remove obstacles for success through customized consulting in leadership development, continuous improvement, and innovation.  AEC utilizes the resources of The Ohio State University at Marion, OSU Extension, and their center to create organizational growth within companies.
