Auditions Announced for Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. at the Palace Theatre

Director Kristi Wink will hold auditions for the Palace Theatre’s fall junior musical production of Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Wink will be selecting children ages 8 to 17 for the junior musical production.

Those interested may audition on Sunday, August 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and should enter through the front theatre doors. All auditioners are asked to come dressed in casual clothing appropriate for performing choreography. Those interested in joining the chorus will dance and sing with a group. Individuals wishing to audition for principle roles are asked to come prepared to sing a one-minute audition tune and read from the script. A pianist will be provided. No songs from “Peter Pan” and no CDs please.

Wink has set up a “family-friendly” rehearsal schedule for the junior musical cast to meet Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning August 19.

Three live performances of Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. will take place on the Marion Palace Theatre main stage on Friday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $18 adults, $12 students and will go on sale to the general public beginning August 4. The show is sponsored by Jim and Barb Greetham, Marion Community Foundation’s Mary H. Hollaway Fund and the Ohio Arts Council.
