Fogle Crowned 2014 Miss Teeny Pop

Olivia Fogle took top honors at the 2014 Miss Teeny Pop Pageant in the River Valley High School Auditorium Saturday, August 16, 2014.

Olivia Fogle was chosen Miss Teeny Pop 2014 Saturday during competition at River Valley High School.  The 12-year also won overall commercial and tied for overall talent; and garnered an additional award for generating the most program ads.  The River Valley Middle School student said, “I’m excited … breathless … just no words to describe this awesome feeling.”  She is the daughter of Lara and Mike Fogle of Marion.

As Miss Teeny Pop, Fogle will be featured at all Festival activities, including the Festival’s Orville Redenbacher Parade and performing from the main stage.  She will also make numerous appearances throughout Ohio during the coming year.

First Runner Up went to 8-year-old Marin Curry.  The Johnny Cake Corners Elementary student also took overall formalwear and her age division in talent.  She is the 8-year-old daughter of Marianne and Craig Curry of Galena.

Ten-year-old Juliette Laracuente seized the Second Runner-Up position.  The home schooled daughter of Marci and Clay Huebner of Marion, she also tied for overall talent and captured her age division in formalwear.

Snaring Third Runner Up was Jaden Smith.  The 12-year-old daughter of Tiffany and Jonathan Lechleitner of Marion attends Grant Middle School.  She won her age division in formalwear, commercial and photogenic.

Melanie Lee nabbed the Fourth Runner-Up position, as well as her age division in commercial.  The 9-year-old student at Pleasant Elementary is the daughter of Angela and Randall Leib of Marion.

Taking Fifth Runner Up was 10-year-old Sophia Thompson.  The daughter of Michelle Thompson and Doug Thompson of Mt. Gilead, she attends Mt. Gilead Middle School.  Thompson also captured overall photogenic and her age division in commercial.

Because there was a virtual tie for fifth runner up, a Sixth Runner-up position was created and that went to Annika Musser.  Capturing her age division in formalwear, the 11-year-old attends Pleasant Middle School.  She is the daughter of Stephanie Musser and Robert Musser of Marion.

Miss Teeny Pop program chair Morgan Schwartz said, “You can see by all of the ties what a tight competition this was.  All of the contestants did an absolutely wonderful job.”

Contestants competed in three categories, Formalwear, Talent and Commercial where contestants perform an “advertisement” regarding the Marion Popcorn Festival.   Division winners were:

Receiving Rising Star honorable mention awards were:  Gracee Carmichael, Hope Hall, Abigail Bennett, Faith Burns, Faith Langdon, Autumn Stoneburner, Hailey Croyle, Halle Shaffer, and Odessa Ford.

A specialty award was given for program sales, and that went to Olivia Fogle.

Sophia Thompson was the winner of the Photogenic Award.  This is a separate competition and entering is optional, and the outcome has no bearing on the Miss Teeny Pop results.  Age division winners were:
