Marion Technical College (MTC) is hosting a Kickin’ It on Campus 5K Run/Walk event on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 9:00am (registration at 8:00am). The event will raise money (and awareness) for the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation and the Alejandro Garcia-Blessing Scholarship fund.
Last year, the event had over 80 runners and raised $2,500 toward the cause with hopes to double that with this year’s event. Event coordinators have added chip timing to the course this year for the serious runners and still provide a fun course for those who want to go for their morning walk while supporting the cause.
Register and pay online by clicking on the banner located on the home page of www.mtc.edu or by going directly to Premier Races’ website. T-shirts are guaranteed for all who register before September 1, 2014. The cost is $25 per person. There will be awards and prizes.
Sponsors include Iberia Earthworm Construction, Frontier Communications, Engineered Technical Sales, Iberia Machine Shop, Fahey Bank, Johnson Property Services, Peacock Water, and Custom Professional Accounting
