Auditions are Sunday for Shakespeare at the Palace Theatre

Director Charles Groth and Assistant Director Maranda Knepp will hold auditions in the May Pavilion for the Marion Palace Theatre’s October production of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare-Abridged” on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 5pm to 7pm.

Groth is seeking adults ages 17 years and up, to play 3 male character roles for the play. Auditioners are asked to enter through the front May Pavilion doors and come prepared to read from the script.

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare-Abridged” is Shakespeare like you’ve never seen it before. Three actors will present a fast-paced, gag-a-second delight deconstructing all 37 of the Bard’s plays-plus the sonnets-into a single 90 minute whirlwind.

“Shakespeare-Abridged” performance dates are Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m. in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion. Tickets are $15.
