Free Medication Drop Off is Saturday

Medication Disposal DayYou can bring your expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medication to the Marion County Building’s rear parking lot, 222 West Center Street, on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Pills, liquids and syringes will be accepted.

“Please do your part to help protect drinking water sources, reduce drug-related crime, and prevent addiction. Law enforcement officials will dispose of the medications in a safe, legal, and environmentally friendly manner,” said Angela Carbetta, director of Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention.

There is no cost and no questions will be asked. Containers will be recycled with your identity protected.
