Marion County Sheriff Tim Bailey has announced that he will be waiving the adoption fee of $48 for all new adoptions at the Marion County Dog Pound starting December 10, 2014 for this Christmas season. The sheriff said he hopes the waiver will help the dogs find a home for Christmas.
You can adopt a dog from December 10, 2014 until Christmas Eve by going to the pound, picking out your new canine family member, and paying the fee of $16 for the annual dog tag.
2015 dog tags are also currently on sale and may be purchased at the dog pound, the Marion County Auditor’s Office, and at the Marion Petco Store on Sundays.
