Police investigating exchange of gunfire at Marion residence

The Marion Police Department is investigating the report of shots fired into and from a residence in the early morning hours on Sunday. At 3:47am on January 4, 2015, officers from the Marion Police Department responded to the report of shots fired in 120 block of South Seffner Avenue.

Upon arrival officers said they discovered evidence that indicated unknown suspects fired multiple rounds into a residence. Additional investigation reveled that unknown suspects allegedly returned fire from inside the targeted residence.

There were no injuries reported and this case is still under investigation.

The Marion Police Department was assisted by members from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
