River Valley High School to present “The Addams Family”

RV Addams FamilyRiver Valley will perform their spring musical this weekend in the High School Auditorium. The Addams Family (A Broadway Musical) will take the stage on Friday and Saturday, February 27 and 28, at 7:30pm and on Sunday, March 1, at 2:00pm.

The Addams Family musical features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.

Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The musical is directed by Julia Griffiths Vanderhoff with Vocal Director and Orchestra Conductor Kelly Culler and Choreographer Tracy Fark-El-Masri.

“Come meet the family. We’ll leave the lights off for you.”

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 740-725-5808.
