Marion Genealogy Society elects new officers; first meeting of the year is Saturday

The Marion Area Genealogy Society recently elected their 2015 officers, including Susan Matthews as President. The group will hold their first program meeting of the year on Saturday, March 7.

In addition to Matthews, the following individuals will serve as officers:

  • Paula Burns, Treasurer;
  • Ronda Snyder, Co-Corresponding Secretary;
  • Lisa Carlyle, Vice-President,
  • Pam Schweinfurth, Secretary;
  • Franklin Snyder, Co-Corresponding Secretary;
  • Cheryl Culver, Trustee;
  • John Kalb, Trustee

The meeting on Saturday starts at 10:00am at the Marion County Historical Society, 169 East Church Street in Marion. The featured speaker will be Sherry Hall of the Harding Home who will talk about Florence Harding and the Grand Ladies of Marion.
