Former Ohio State University football standout Maurice Clarett will speak at Apex Church on Sunday, March 15, 2015 as part of their Friend Day. He will speak at both their 9:00am and 10:30am services.
When Clarett was five years old, he said he knew he wanted to be a distinguished football player. His dream was realized much quicker than most, when in 2002, as only a freshman at Ohio State University, Maurice broke Archie Griffin’s rushing record. Maurice rushed for over 1,247 yards.
Unfortunately, having reached this dream so quickly resulted in a downward-spiral for Clarett and having spun to the bottom, Maurice was incarcerated. Maurice said he found himself broken and at the end of his ropes.
At Apex Church, you can hear his story on overcoming failure and reaching redemption.
Apex Church is located at 162 West Center Street in downtown Marion. For more information, call (740) 396-8338 or visit www.apexlife.org.
