Kingston holding 3rd Annual Boomer and Senior Expo

The 3rd Annual Boomer and Senior Expo hosted by Kingston Residence of Marion is Friday, May 29th from 10am-2pm. The event is free admission to the public and includes 40+ vendors who provide products, services and valuable information for Boomers and Seniors.

The Expo is featuring several of Marion’s Senior Celebrities. The Celebrity Seniors include: MaryEllen Withrow, Charlie Evers, Fran Voll, George Kasotas, Mary Ann Michaels, Phil Reid, Jack Kellogg, Carroll Neidhart and Sally Burns. The community event also includes a special Memorial Day gun salute and taps by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard as well as the Gettysburg address given by Abraham Lincoln at Noon. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin will also be on hand to visit with everyone.

The Expo includes health screenings, product demonstrations, door prizes, give-a-ways, good food and drinks and a live radio remote with Jeff Ruth. There will also be wheelchair races. Each participant will have an opportunity to win door prizes from each vendor.

Sponsors of the Boomers and Senior Expo include: Ohio Health Marion General Hospital, Kindred at Home, Genesis Rehab Services, Heartland Health Care and Hospice Care and Summit Orthopaedic Home Care.

This year they are also having “Breakout Sessions.” The Breakout sessions will be short 20 minute presentations on various important senior topics. The sessions include: Senior Women’s Make-up Demonstration, Polypharmacy, Keeping the Keys and others yet to be determined.
