4 Marion residents indicted in multi-county theft, drug ring

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, MARMET Drug Task Force, Ohio Organized Crime Commission, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Delaware City Police Department, Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office, Columbus Police Department, Marysville Police Department, and Marion Police Department recently completed a seven month investigation into a Narcotics trafficking and a retail theft ring.

Investigation revealed that several Marion County residents were involved in retail thefts from various outlets in the central Ohio Area to support illegal drug trafficking. Retail stores from Marion, Franklin, Delaware and Union Counties were victimized.

Indictments were obtained after proceedings by a Delaware County Grand Jury on Wednesday.

Charged as a result of the investigation were: 43 year old Amber Rose, 35 year old Jamey Rose, 32 year old Ian Thacker and 43 year old Jill Columber. All named suspects are Marion County residents.

Multiple charges including Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Money Laundering and Theft were handed down as a result of the investigation.
