Aqua Ohio says they have become aware of confusion resulting from the City of Columbus’ ongoing drinking water advisory involving high levels of nitrates. To be clear, the Columbus Nitrate Advisory does not affect Aqua Ohio customers in Marion County.
The City of Columbus has issued a nitrate advisory for portions of the city and select suburbs. This advisory does not affect any Aqua Ohio customers.
Aqua says they have balanced the system’s water source intakes to rely more heavily on the system’s eighteen wells and keep water within safe parameters.
Again, Aqua water customers in Marion, Caledonia, Martel and Prospect are not covered by the Columbus advisory.
