Named Republicans of the Month by the Marion County GOP Central and Executive Committee were Warren Tom Edwards for April and Leslie Cunningham for May.
A Caledonia resident,, Edwards has been with the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office for 15 years, and as an assistant prosecutor has handled felony cases including homicides. He was a candidate for Judge of Marion County Common Pleas Court.
A 1991 graduate of Harding High School, he holds a BA degree from Capital University and a J.D. degree from The Ohio State University College of Law. Edwards has been Mimi-Vikes wrestling coach as well as DeSales Junior Stallions assistant wrestling coach, OYAA soccer coach and Boy Scout leader of Troop 844. He serves on the GOP Central and Executive committee. He and his wife, Kelesta,have two children and are affiliated with St John Windfall Lutheran Church.
Cunningham has been employed by SA Comunale of Marion as a field representative for 10 years. A company representative in the Marion Chamber of Commerce, she is a graduate of Delaware Christian High School, and she volunteers in the Dayspring Wesleyan Church.
The Marion resident and her husband,Todd, have three children, and is a candidate for the Fifth Ward in the November election
