Sheriff Tim Bailey warns that if a road is covered with water, where you can’t see the road, to not attempt to drive through it regardless of the vehicle that you are in. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Sheriff Bailey said that just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to float a vehicle off the road. Sheriff Bailey advises that when encountering flooded roads to make smart choices and turn around.
