On Friday, July 17, 2015 at approximately 11:00 AM, MARMET Drug Task Force said they raided a “drug trafficking house” at 470 Oak Street in Marion. MARMET was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Marion Police Department.
Two adult males and one 16 year old female were arrested from the residence for Trafficking of Heroin and Cocaine. Both adults were taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center and the female was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Officials said that both males utilized the 470 Oak Street address while in Marion but are actually from Detroit, Michigan.
16 bags of heroin weighting 7.7 grams and 4 grams of cocaine as well as numerous pieces of stolen property were seized form the residence, investigators reported.
Formal charges are pending with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
“MARMET will continue to search out, investigate, and arrest drug dealers who decide to sell this poison in our community,” Chief Bill Collins stated.
