“Hope in Marion” is a group made up of multiple local churches (over 10 of different denominations, backgrounds, and embracing diversity) working together to provide community events and provide hope in Marion.
For the first event of this unity effort, the group is bringing ex-gang leader and New York Times best selling author Nicky Cruz to the Marion Fairgrounds Coliseum on Friday, August 14, 2015. He will be joined by the NYC Hip Hop Group, TRUCE.
The TRUCE team is already in Marion and is visiting different neighborhoods to have street parties with music, dance and more to meet the community.
This will all lead to the Friday night event for which they are expecting “a very healthy attendance.” Evangelist Cruz will be sharing a message of hope for the community and the struggling areas of our city through Christ.
