Marion Palace Theatre Executive Director Bev Ford was recognized for countless hours of service to the community on August 18, 2015 by local Modern Woodmen of America members.

Ford was honored through Modern Woodmen of America’s Hometown Heroes Program for unyielding dedication to preserving and promoting the historic Marion Palace Theatre. As part of this program, members of the Marion Modern Woodmen chapter presented the recipient with a certificate and a $100 award grant, to be presented to the charitable organization of the honoree’s choice.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to take part in social activities and community service projects to meet local needs.

“Passionate and driven leaders such as Bev form the foundation of a strong community,” says Roger Ruth, local Modern Woodmen chapter activities coordinator. “Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Heroes Program gives us the chance to thank those who selflessly give their time to make the world a better place.”
