Marion Technical College proudly announces seven new certificate programs for those looking to jump-start a career or add new skills and certifications to a resume. The new certificates take just one year or two semesters to complete. At the end, take an external certification to add to your resume while knocking out requirements for an associate’s degree. These new certificates include:
- Clinical Health Information Specialist: Enter this growing field of Electronic Health Records and prepare for A+ certification exam
- Computer Information Technology – Networking Certificate: Learning computer networking skills and prepare for the A+ certification exam
- Computer Information Technology – Software Development Certificate: Develop computer programming and prepare for the A+ certification exam
- Web Development Certificate: Work to become an Adobe Certified Associate in Photoshop
- Law Enforcement Academy Certificate: Gain knowledge and skills needed to pass the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy Certificate
- Accounting Certificate: This versatile certificate can lead to eight external certifications, from Certified Bookkeeper to Certified Payroll to Certified Microsoft Excel or QuickBooks expert
- Office Information Certificate: Practice valuable skills and work to become a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) – Office 365 Certification
“In today’s workforce, employers need people with specialized training; MTC’s certificate options provide students skills to gain employment and to stay competitive,” said Dr. Vicky Wood, Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of MTC. “At $170 a credit hour, certificates are an affordable option for students who want to update their skills for employment and the credits apply toward an associate’s degree.”
