Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, the movie ‘Everest’ documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions. Challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind, the climbers face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival. The epic adventure stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, Emily Watson and Jake Gyllenhaal.
‘Everest’ will be shown at the historic Marion Palace Theatre on Friday, October 23 at 7:30pm, Saturday, October 24 at 2pm and 7:30pm and Sunday, October 25 at 2pm and 7:30pm.
The film, which was shot primarily on location in Nepal on the foothills of Everest and the Italian Alps is rated PG-13 for intense peril and disturbing images. Running time 2 hours, 1 minute.
Concessions will be available and are reasonably priced. Items available for purchase include candy bars for $1 each and 20 oz. Pepsi products, popcorn and boxed theatre candy for $2 each.
