The historic Marion Palace Theatre will present the comedy/drama film, ‘Joy,’ starring Oscar Nominated Best Actress Jennifer Lawrence on January 29, 30 and 31, 2016.
‘Joy’ is the wild story of a family across four generations. It centers on a girl who grows up and builds a business dynasty, becoming a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence, and the scars of love pave the road in this intensely emotional human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise while facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family. ‘Joy’ is rated PG-13 for brief strong language. Run time 124 minutes. Show times are:
- Friday, January 29 at 7:30pm
- Saturday, January 30 at 2pm and 7:30pm
- Sunday, January 31 at 2pm and 7:30pm
Concessions are available including candy bars for $1 each and 20 oz. Pepsi products, popcorn and boxed theatre candy for $2 each.
