MARMET arrests 6 for drug trafficking, seeks 4 more suspects

On Friday, February 19, 2016, detectives from the METRICH/MARMET Drug Task Force, assisted by Marion County Adult Probation, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office concluded several drug trafficking investigations by making six arrests.

Arrested were:

  • Leon Plummer, Age 36 of Marion
  • Cedrick Riley, Age 31 of Marion (detectives said he had 4.6 grams of crack cocaine and 1.4 grams of heroin when arrested)
  • Adam Furniss, Age 24 of Marion
  • David Saulsberry, Age 51 of Marion
  • Dante Ford, Age 32 of Marion
  • Nathaniel Rice, Age 37 of Marion

In addition to those arrested, MARMET detectives continue to look for the following individuals on outstanding warrants:

  • Dwight Smith Jr, Age 22 of Marion (last known address of 605 E. Farming)
  • Vernell Wilson , Age 28 of Marion (last known address of 291 Maple)
  • Victor Wilson, Age 30 of Marion (last known address of 291 Maple)
  • James Jeffrey, age 35 of Marion (last known address of 348 Olney)

“MARMET has done a great job targeting drug traffickers and they will continue to pursue all drug dealers who are selling such dangerous poison in our community,” said Marion County Sheriff Tim Bailey. “They are able to pursue these investigations because of the help they receive from patrol officers and deputies and also from the community.
