The Meeker Sportsman Club has a new firearm education program called Progressive Trap Shooting. The ongoing classes take participants through all aspects of trap shooting.
No experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. Classes are approximately 4 hours long and begin at 12 noon.
Both ‘Beginner’s Classes’ and ‘Follow-Up Classes’ are offered. Beginner’s Class is mandatory for all first time attendees.
Youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, suggested starting age is 12.
Pre-registration is recommended as each class is limited to 20 students.
The program is free and includes free hot dogs, hot chocolate, and coffee. Funding for this program is provided by the U.S. Sport Fish Restoration Fund, the Ohio Division of Wildlife, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and the Meeker Sportsman Club.
