MARMET detectives arrested a Marion man after allegedly discovering he was carrying over 90 bindles of heroin. Investigators later allegedly discovered cash, a handgun, and even more drugs at the man’s apartment.
Monday, April 25, 2016, at approximately 10:30am, detectives from the MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Barks Road West. K9 Stash was deployed, alerted to the vehicle, and a search of the vehicle was done. Detectives said they located 91 bindles of heroin on the vehicle’s passenger, Bruce Baker.
The investigation lead to the search of an apartment at the Southland Parkway apartments where detectives said they recovered 76 grams of heroin, a .45 caliber handgun, $1780 in cash, and four pills.
Baker, 33, of Marion, was arrested on various charges.
