Culvert replacements cause closures to two State Routes in Marion County

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that work to replace two culverts in Marion County will result in the closure of two separate State Routes starting Monday, August 1, 2016. These closures are in addition to the shut down of the State Street overpass announced Thursday.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. Monday, State Route 203 will be closed in both directions between Owens Road and Newmans-Cardington Road for a culvert replacement. The posted detour is State Route 4 to State Route 47 to State Route 37 to State Route 739 to State Route 203 or reverse. The work is expected to be completed on August 8.

Also starting at 7 a.m. Monday, State Route 98 will be closed in both directions between Morral Kirkpatrick Road and Marseilles-Galion Road for a culvert replacement. The detour is State Route 98 to State Route 294 to State Route 4 to US 23 to State Route 309 to State Route 98 or reverse. The work is expected to be completed on August 5.

All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice.
