The 2016 Miss Teeny Pop will be chosen Saturday, August 13, at River Valley High School. The competition begins at 9:30 a.m. Participants must be aged 6 – 12 and each contestant will compete in modeling, talent, and the commercial categories.
New for 2016 are the Mr. Popcorn Pageants. Also set for this Saturday, August 13, at River Valley High School with a 3:00 p.m. start time, the Mr. Popcorn Pageants will be divided into age groups: 0 – 5; 6 – 12; 13 – senior in high school; and adult. There will be one winner for each age group, and contestants will be judged on formal wear and popcorn wear.
Both events are open to the public, and a $5 ticket will get you into both pageants.
All pageant royalty will receive prizes, be highlighted on the Festival’s main stage, take part in the Popcorn Parade, and represent the Marion Popcorn Festival at local and statewide events throughout the coming year.
