A benefit car show will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2016 to help life-long Marion resident Brad Reed. The benefit, to be held at Pesto’s Quick Italian, 1292 Delaware Avenue in Marion, will feature all types of cars, motorcycles, and trucks. There will also be live music, raffles, a silent auction, and giveaways.
Reed, 47, has been suffering with a very serious medical condition since May of this year, leaving him unable to work. All proceeds from the event will go towards Reed’s living expenses and medical bills.
“Brad’s a very kind, loving person with a quick-wit and amazing musical talent,” said benefit organizer, a friend since childhood. “We hope the community will come together to help a person who has given so much joy to so many people.”
The Aug. 21 event begins with registration and general admission starting at 11 a.m., with an awards presentation at 3:30 p.m. The benefit will end at 4:00 p.m.
