The MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Marion Police Department executed a search warrant on September 9, 2016 at 9:55am at 104 West Street in Morral. The search warrant was a result of a three month drug investigation conducted by The MARMET-METRICH Drug Task Force.
41-year-old Larry F. Borders Jr. was arrested on a first degree felony of Manufacturing Methamphetamine and a fifth degree felony of Possession of Methamphetamine.
Detectives, deputies, and officers searched Borders’ residence and said they located items used to manufacture methamphetamine as well as 1 gram of powder methamphetamine and 4 grams of liquid methamphetamine. Methamphetamine is a synthetic man-made chemical mixed with various ingredients that are potentially explosive which can severely burn, disfigure, or kill those in the vicinity of the illegal cooking of the drug.
The MARMET-METRICH Drug Task force is comprised of detectives from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
“Chief Collins and I will continue to support MARMET in any way we can and provide the resources for battling the drugs in our community,” Sheriff Tim Bailey stated. “Illegal drugs have become a nationwide issue in all communities and we will continue to fight it locally with all the resources we have to provide a safe community to those who reside in and visit our community.”
