Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor is reminding Ohioans on Medicare that the open enrollment deadline to determine their coverage for 2017 is Dec. 7.
Taylor, also director of the Ohio Department of Insurance, said people still undecided or just starting the evaluation process can turn to the department’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Program (OSHIIP) for free help. OSHIIP last year counseled nearly 423,000 consumers saving a combined $21 million by aligning them with suitable coverage options and financial assistance programs.
