The Marion Technical College (MTC) Board of Trustees recently appointed Kit Fogle as its newest member. Fogle, a life-long Marion County resident, currently serves as a Senior Vice President for Merrill Lynch.

“MTC is very important to the industry and businesses of Marion County in providing a well-trained workforce. I’m looking forward to being a part of it!” Fogle stated.

Fogle knows the value of MTC; one daughter took college classes at MTC before she graduated. The other is currently enrolled in MTC through the College Credit Plus program, which allows high school students to attend college at no cost to the student or family.

“Kit Fogle brings 15 years of experience in the financial industry,” said Ryan McCall, President of MTC. “We value his input in helping our students better their lives and get to their next goals.”

Fogle will serve on the Board for three years. In addition to his current role with Merrill Lynch and his recent appointment as an MTC trustee, Fogle is also a farmer, a member of the board of the Marion Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the Marion Rotary Club and a member of the Marion County Farm Bureau.

The Board of Trustees includes Jude Foulk, Chair of the MTC Board and Business Manager for Marion OB/GYN Inc; Timothy Anderson, Vice Chair of Board and Director of Accounting, Lean Materials and Industrial Engineering at Whirlpool Corporation; Roxane Somerlot, Secretary of the Board and Director of Marion County Job & Family Services; Don Plotts, Past President of North Central State College; Rex Parrott, retired President and Chief Operating Officer of Wyandot, Inc.; Mark Russell, Marion City Law Director; Justin Hamper, Administrative Director at OhioHealth Marion General; and Kenneth Young, Executive Vice President for United Church Homes.

Fogle was sworn in by Judge Deborah Alspach at the MTC Board of Trustees meeting in the Health Technologies Center on Aug. 21. For a list of upcoming board meetings, go to www.mtc.edu.
