Charles H. “Chuck” Bennett, 82, of Mount Gilead

Charles H. “Chuck” Bennett, age 82, of Mount Gilead, died early Sunday morning, April 4, 2010 at the Morrow County Hospital Extended Care Facility.

He was born on March 4, 1928 in Cookeville, Tennessee, the son of the late Herman and Vivian (Terry) Bennett. He graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland and attended Baldwin Wallace for three years. Chuck was a World War II Army Veteran and he retired from H.P.M. Corporation in Mount Gilead.

On October 9, 1965, Chuck married Sally Marie Hoskinson. Together they have shared over 44 years.

A gentle and soft spoken man, Chuck lived a simple life. In his spare time he enjoyed radio controlled cars and airplanes and also flying planes as a private pilot.

Chuck will be dearly missed by his wife, Sally of Mount Gilead; five children: James (Pam) Bennett of Great Falls, Montana, Michael Bennett of Grafton, Ohio, Judith (William) Reilly of Midland, Texas, Jeanne (Michael) Gabel of Avon Lake, Ohio, Mark (Bridget) Bennett of LaGrange, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother, James (Elaine) Bennett of North Royalton, Ohio.

In honoring Chuck’s wishes, a cremation will take place. Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead have been entrusted with the arrangements.
