Ralph C. McDaniel, 66, of Marion passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born December 30, 1943 in Rutledge, Tennessee to the late Isaac G. and Birda (Bryant) McDaniel. He was married to Anna (Lynn) McDaniel, who survives in Marion, on June 10, 1972 in Belleville, Ohio.
Ralph was a Untied States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 162, and was a life member of the D.A.V. He was a Pleasant High School graduate. Ralph loved to fish, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Ralph is survived by 2 sons, Tim McDaniel, and Buck (Heather) McDaniel of Marion; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers, John (Beverly) McDaniel of Raymond, Ohio, and James Robert (Deb) McDaniel of Prospect; 3 sisters, Billie (Elmond) Haney and Nola Cottrill of Marion, and Pauline (Randy) Blue of Mt. Victory; sister-in-law, Nellie Lynn of Lexington, Ohio; 4 brothers-in-law, Harry (Cindy) Lynn of Lexington, Ohio, John of Mansfield, Bobby of Indiana, and Bill of Lexington, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 4-7 PM at Boyd-Born Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 9 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Floyd Radebaugh. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery; military honors will be conducted by Marion Area Veteran’s Council.
