Billie A. Lewis, 66, of Caledonia, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born April 16, 1944 to Virgil and Lissie (Maxie) Lewis. On December 29, 1978 in Marion he married Dorothy M. Rinehart.
Billie had been employed with the former Tecumseh Products Company for 16 years and then worked at Drypers. He was a member of Crissinger Road First Freewill Baptist Church. In his younger days he enjoyed playing basketball and motorcycling. He also enjoyed woodworking. He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren.
Billie is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lewis; two sons, Billie A. (Cathy) Lewis, Jr. of Woodbine, Georgia, and Jerry M. (Shaina) Stevenson of LaRue, Ohio; two daughters, Shasta M. (Steve) Walsh of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Susan M. (Tim) Snyder of Galion, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; four brothers, Willard (Linda) Lewis of Marion, Rodger (Darlene) Lewis of Richwood, Ohio, Timothy J. (Vickie) Lewis of Marion, and Dean (Debbie) Lewis of Marion; two sisters, Dexie Mayes of Marion, and Janice (Johnny) Thacker of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willis, and Harvey; and four sisters, Lexie Cox, Geneva Rosebrough, Millie Bright, and Hazel York.
Calling hours will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at Crissinger Road First Freewill Baptist Church from 2-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the church Tuesday, May 11 at 11 AM with Pastor Paul Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Iberia Cemetery.
