Carolyn A. Milligan, 66, of Marion

Carolyn A. Milligan age 66 of Marion, Ohio peacefully passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Country View of Sunbury.

She was born March 31, 1944 in Marion, Ohio to the late Claire E. and Arvada M. (Blummenschein) Dye.

On October 28, 1972 she married the love of her life, Frederick E. Milligan, he preceded her in death on June 1, 2009.

Carolyn graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1962, she was a member of Green Camp United Methodist Church, enjoyed music especially playing the piano which she did at church and also taught others to play. She was very involved in the Hemachromatosis Support Group, Toast Masters Club and the West Side Neighborhood Association, volunteered taking care of  the elderly, worked at Wendys, loved her cats, and she loved walking especially from Wodroe Ave. to the Marion Towers to visit family and friends.

Carolyn will be remembered as a very loving, giving, funny and a jokester. Her world revolved around her husband, kids and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Julia A. (David) Rosenberger of Delaware, OH., Alice M. Milligan of Davey, NEB., six grandchildren, Jacob A. Rose, Joseph A. Gardner, Haley K. Gardner, Kathryn M. Gardner, Gabrielle C.M. Rosenberger, David R.D. Rosenberger, one great granddaughter, Alexis A. Rose, sister in laws, Carolyn Dye of N.C., and Sandrea K. Boyd of Mansfield, OH.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Dye and James Dye.

Funeral services for for Carolyn will be Saturday, June 5, 2010 10 AM at Green Camp United Methodist Church with Pastor Mandy Rice officiating, burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 5 – 8 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the name of Carolyn Milligan in care of the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
