Marsha L. Bailey, age 64, of Marion

Marsha L. Bailey, age 64, of Marion, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, early Saturday morning, May 1, 2010, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 17, 1945, in Marion, to Ralph and Avice (Clark) Barth.  She was the youngest of four siblings and she leaves behind:  Marjorie Jean Dutton of Palmetto, Georgia; Fred (Pat) Horst of League City, Texas; and Myrna (Gary) Sellars of Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Marsha was raised in Larue and graduated from Ridgedale High School in the class of 1964.

She worked as a nurse’s aide for over 40 years in the Marion Community.  Before retiring in 2007, Marsha worked for both Marion General Hospital and MedCenter Hospital where she was an angel in disguise.

She married the love of her life, Talmadge Bailey on June 15, 1979 in Marion. Their marriage was filled with love and laughter.  They loved to travel having spent vacations in Spain, Dominican Republic, and countless camping and boating trips all over the United States.

Marsha leaves behind her loving husband, three daughters and one son: Kimberly Sharp of Marion, Tami (Jon) Bibler of Marion, Nathan (Tiffany) Bailey of Delaware, and Taralyn (David) Glover of North Carolina.  She was an extremely proud parent and held a special place in her heart for her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; she also leaves behind a special friend, Diana Click of Marion.

Marsha touched many lives with her love, warmth, and generosity.

Friends may call on the family on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A service celebrating the life of Marsha will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Amelia Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Larue Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 685 Delaware Avenue, Marion, or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
