Roberta “Bobby” Dickerson, age 88 of Marengo passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Riverside Hospital.
She was born on December 12, 1921 in Columbus to the late Robert and Winifred (Walker) Stevenson. A graduate of North High School, where she met her husband of 64 years; Owen H. Dickerson she earned a teaching degree from O.S.U. where she was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
After raising her children, she returned to her teaching career with the Big Walnut School System. She along with her husband held a passion for camping with the family Airstream. Together they were active members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club and enjoyed numerous club rallies.
Winters were spent in Punta Gorda, FL. Friendly in nature, Bobby loved people and will be remembered for her warm friendly smile.
She is survived by sons: Michael, Steven (Becky) of Jackson, MS, Gary (Kathy) of Cincinnati, Patrick of Marengo, former daughter-in-law: Carolyn Frost, 5 Grandchildren, and several Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Owen in 2009, her younger sister: Patricia and a Grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Friday May 7th at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 15370 Meredith State Rd., Sunbury, OH 43074 with Pastor Robert Riggs officiating. Inurment will follow in Union Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
