Warren W. Reish, age 86, of Marion

Warren W. Reish, age 86, of Marion, died early Saturday morning, May 1, 2010, at the Heartland of Marion Nursing Home following a brief illness.

Warren was born October 6, 1923 in Kent, Ohio to the late F.E. & Zella (Sturgeon) Reish.

He married Mary Jane Bigford on November 1, 1943 who preceded him in death on April 14, 1998.

Warren served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  Upon discharge from the army he attended and graduated from Kent State University.  He worked more than 30 years in the accounting department at General Telephone Company where he retired in 1983.

He was an avid hunter and horseman.  Warren was also involved in competitive pistol shooting.  He belonged to Meeker Sportsmen Club and the National Rifle Association.  For relaxation he enjoyed fixing and carving.

Warren is survived by his son Richard (Brenda) Reish of Marion; grandchildren Katy (Ben) Milligan of Waldo and Erik Reish of Black Lick; a great-granddaughter Janie Milligan; and a brother Robert Reish also of Marion.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Rowland.

Funeral services for Warren will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Brown officiating.  Friends may call an hour before the service, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Caledonia Cemetery.
