Blanche E. Austin, age 75, of Marion, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1935 in Marion, Ohio to the late Ray V. and Esther L. (Lyon) Lucas.
On August 2, 1956 she married Donald Albert Austin, he preceded her in death on October 19, 1998.
Blanche was a lifetime resident of Marion, Ohio she graduated from Claridon High School and was empoloyed at Community Med Center for 17 years in the cafeteria.
She is survived by her daughter, Reba (Jim) Gibbs of Marion, OH., 2 grandchildren, Dawn (Greg) Kincaid of Delaware, OH., Michael Gibbs of Marion, OH., and one great grandchild on the way, 2 brothers, Sheridan W. (Gladys) Lucas of Marion, OH., Robert L. (Gloria) Lucas of Marion, OH., a brother in law, Dick Powers of Marion, OH., an aunt, Mary Gilbert of Kenton, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, Esther L. Powers, Beulah M. Phiiips, 1 brother, Paul E. Lucas.
The funeral service for Blanche will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010 10 AM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McIntire officiating, burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
