Virginia L. Hale, age 88, of Upper Arlington, formerly of Marion, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2010 at her residence.
She was born November 5, 1921 in Marion, Ohio to the late George and Harriett Dutt, and had one brother, Richard Dutt.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; Daniel G. Hale, Sr.
Ginny graduated from St. Mary’s High School and attended Miami University. Ginny was owner of Ginny’s Cards and Gifts, a Marion real estate agent and retired from the Bureau of Workers Compensation.
Ginny was an avid reader, loved to play bridge, worked in the yard and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Dan and Jane Hale, Jr. and Chris and Janice Hale; grandchildren, Molly (Kenny) Baer, Andrew Belz, Claire Hale, Christine (Phil) Vertucci, Vicki (Tim) Carvour and Andrew Hale; great grandchildren, Harrison and Chloe Carvour; and sisters and brother-in-laws, Mary Jean and Bob Spaeth and Jane and Bill Snyder.
Special thanks to the staff of the Gerlach/Heritage Center. Also, special thanks and gratitude to Mourad, Betty, June and Pat for their countless hours of loving and patient care they provided to Ginny.
