Edward W. "Bud" Wright, Jr. age 60 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday March 5, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born April 19, 1950 in Demoplis, Alabama. His father and step-mother, Edward W. and Dorothy Wallace survive and live in Demoplis, Ala., and his mother and step-father, Frank and Mary Elizabeth Wright preceded him in death.
On June 20, 1971 in Delaware, Ohio Edward married Gwendolyn L. Vance and she survives.
Edward is also survived by two sons and three daughters; Jeff Wright and Edward W. Wright, III., both from Marion and Yvette Wright, Aleta Bell, and Simone Bullock all of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, seven brothers, eleven sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.
Besides his mother and step-father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a brother.
Edward was retired after thirty years as a tow motor driver with Whirlpool Corp. He loved fishing, hunting, was a member of the Medgar Evers Elks Lodge, was a dedicated Umpire for OSHAA, and loved his O.S.U. Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
Funeral Services will be Friday March 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kings Temple Apostolic Church. Officiating the service will be Minister Martis Bracy. Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday March 10, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
