Helena Fyffe age 88 of Delaware, Ohio and formerly of Marion, Ohio, passed away Saturday March 26, 2011 at Willowbrook at Delaware Run, Delaware, Ohio.
She was born August 22, 1922 in Bruchkobel, Germany to the late Henry and Marie (Stroh) Nickel.
On April 6, 1941 in Larue, Ohio, Helena married Paul Fyffe and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1996.
Helena was retired as co-owner and operator with her husband Paul of the former Beeline Auto in Marion. She also was a former member of the Prospect Senior Citizens.
Helena is survived by a daughter and a son; Marilyn (Gary) Chiles of Marion, Ohio and Darrel (Jean) Fyffe of The Villages in Florida. Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive; Sharon (Chris) Hughes, Hamilton, Ohio, Brenda Key and Jeff Chiles, both of Marion, Ohio and Jim Fyffe, Bowling, Ohio; Tasha (Matthew) Wakely, Wesley Brown, Grechen , Nikki and Thomas Fyffe. Also one great-great-grandson. Helena also leaves behind a brother, Karl "Lud" Nickel of Caledonia, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helma Dilsaver and two brothers, Henry and Phillip Nickel.
The funeral Service for Helena will be Thursday March 31, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Boyd-Born Funeral. Home. Officiating the service will be the Rev. David Lippert. Burial follow in the Chapel Heights Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday March 30, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
