Jay Phillip Isaly, 74, of Marion

Jay Phillip Isaly, age 74, of Marion passed away early Tuesday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio.

Born in Marion on July 22, 1936 to Richard and Lucille (Lowery) Isaly, he married the former Katheryn Wilson on October 29, 1961 and she survives at home.

Jay was an electronic technician who took over the operation of his father’s business; T.V. Lab.

A member of the First Presbyterian Church, he was an avid outdoorsman and a true OSU Buckeye Fan. He was a strong believer in local, state and national politics and had once been a member of the Noon Kiwanis Club.

Jay was preceded in death by a brother; Christian D. Isaly.

Surviving along with his wife are his two sons; Johan J. (Elizabeth) Isaly of Tecumseh, Michigan and Richard C. “Rusty” (Lisa) Isaly II of Marion, his daughter; Kathryn (Todd) Huller of Columbus, a brother; Ray A. (Jill) Isaly of Columbus, a sister; Christina K. Risch of Marion, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Dr. M. A. Kunkle officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Marion Cemetery. His family will greet friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
