Mildred “Millie” Lorraine Crabtree, 75, of Marion passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Marion General Hospital.
She was born February 1, 1936 in Darby, West Virginia to the late Chester Arthur and Lura Pearl (Massey) Massey.
She married Harold L. Crabtree in Angola, IN November 22, 1952. Harold passed away November 17, 1998 in Marion.
Millie was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved to cook, and enjoyed having family and friends over for parties.
Millie is survived by sons, Steven Crabtree of Southern Ohio, and Joey Michael of Marion; daughters, Connita Jenkins of Marion, Leslie (Gayle) Cover of Caledonia, and Jessica (Allan) Stoneburner of Marion; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Emmett Massey of WV, and Robert and Kermit Massey of Marion; sister, Patsy Deikert of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip L. Crabtree; grandchild, Teresa Lynn Jenkins; great grandchild, Autumn Reann Jenkins; three brothers; and one sister.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Interment will be at a later date in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall in memory of Millie.
