Minnie "Mae" Cranston, age 85, of Marion, passed away Friday morning, March 18, 2011, at her home following an extended illness. She was surrounded by family.
Mae was a Marion native, born June 5, 1925, to the late Everett and Effie (McKnight) Morris.
She was a homemaker devoted to her family. On May 6, 1954 "Mae" married Paul Cranston who precedes her in death.
Mae is survived by a daughter, Evie (Dean) Frazier, a son, John Eaches, a daughter. Paula "June" Main, all of Marion, and a brother, Bob (Dona) Morris of Las Vegas, NV, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Paul, Mae was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy, a son, Butch, and a granddaughter, Krista. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and listening to audio books.
Family will recieve friends from 2:00 pm till 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Rev. Dan Kiger Officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
