Ralph Hamer Hedges, age 91, of Marion passed away early Thursday morning at Heartland Of Marion Care Center.
Born in Fairfield County on March 19, 1919 to Kirby and Ermine (Hampson) Hedges, he married the former Ruth H. Heigle and she survives at home.
Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed as an office manager in the agricultural field. He was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and belonged to both the Y-Men’s Service Club and Pleasant Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife; Ruth, his daughter; Rita Ferguson of Gahana, 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Hughes-Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Lewis officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville, Ohio. Friends may call from 2:00 PM until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
