Robert LeRoy Lucas, 68, of Marion passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at his residence.
He was born January 6, 1943 in Marion to the late Ray V. and Esther Lavon (Lyon) Lucas. He married Gloria A. Carwile March 2, 1968.
Robert was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a 16 year employee of G.T.E.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria Lucas; son Jon R. Lucas; daughter, Julie A. Lucas; granddaughter, Kierstyn Lucas; brother, Sheridan W. (Gladys) Lucas, all of Marion. He is also survived by his aunt, Maggie Gilbert of Kenton; brother-in-law, Richard Powers of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his son, Matthew A. Lucas; brother, Paul Lucas; and three sisters, Beulah Phillips, Blanche Austin, and Esther Powers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2654 Harding Highway East, conducted by Jeffery Fredrickson.
