Ronald E. "Ron" Bateman age 57 of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born June 7, 1953 in Delaware, Ohio to the late Kenneth W. and Margaret J. (Lauck) Bateman.
On September 13, 1973 he married Shirley A. (Osborne).
Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley Bateman of Marion, two sons, Clint E. Bateman of Marion, Jason A. Bateman of Galion. daughter, Kimberly A. (Matthew) Williams of Marion, five grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth "Bill" Bateman of Marion, four sisters, Pam Cranfield of TN., Peggy (Tracy) Wilson of Marion, Marilyn Castle of KY., Phyllis Foust of Marion, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Angela June Bateman and a grandson, Cameron Bateman.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2 PM at Raymond Cemetery with Rev Bill Middleton officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, April 1, 2011 from 11 – 1 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
